Global Livestock CRSP Podcast Volume 3: Researcher Danielle Knueppel of the GL-CRSP interviews Dr. Peter Msoffe of the Avian Flu School Project (AFS) in Morogoro, Tanzania. Dr. Msoffe is a Veterinarian and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Public Health. At the university, he divides his time between research, extension and instruction, teaching courses in Poultry Diseases, Introduction to Animal Health, Animal Science, Prevention of Animal Diseases, and Animal Behavior. Dr. Msoffe is also involved in the GL-CRSP Newcastle Disease Avian Flu Control Project (NDAFCP), a village-level chicken disease control project, which incorporates vaccination against Newcastle disease with farmer education on chicken production and marketing. It is currently being conducted in 3 different regions in Tanzania - Iringa, Morogoro, and Mtwara.
